Capri’s First Easter – 2011

Luke 24:6-7

6 He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7 ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ “

It is Easter and Capri opened all of her goodies today. Spoiled rotten, that is what she is. She got a lot of gifts from my parents and my grandmother. She enjoyed opening her presents from them.

Stefan and I didn’t go all out for her because we knew my parents were. I made Capri a blanket that is so soft and wonderful and lovely. The rest of her presents cost me less than $5.

IMG_6258This first picture shows half of her presents from us. These are all things that belonged me to as a child. There is a horse that has a really nice feel to it for her to explore and touch, and a wooden iron, a meat tenderizer, which has a great texture for her to play with and a bunny rabbit.

I love how the first thing she did with the meat tenderizer was put it in her mouth like a pipe. So cute. She had so much fun just pulling her new items out of the basket that I put them all in.

IMG_6259The second set of things we got her are really random items that she can explore. The first two are napkin rings from Pier1 (I stole this idea from JoyfuleAbode). One is solid wood with a raise pattern on it, and the second is a bunch of pieces of wood all strung together (she LOVES this one). The third item is an empty thread spool.

She also got bubbles. which she was more impressed with the bottle than the actual bubbles.
