I LOVE MY BIRTHDAY

cakeI love my birthday. If you have been reading my blog for a while you might remember my post from a few years ago about this exact same topic. If not, let me tell you a little about my birthday. I was born April 15, 1987 via c-section. My mom who was a nurse watched me be born via the window next to her bed. I share my birthday with the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, the death of Abraham Lincoln, and Tax Day in America. I always get great cards from my Dad reminding me of these events. Last year I even got an ice cream cake with a boat sinking.

cardSo my love language is gifts (you can read about that here). I love giving gifts and I love getting gifts. It is what makes me happy. I just signed up to be a part of a birthday card club that gives you the opportunity each month to send someone a birthday card (and even a little gift if you want). I am super excited, this is the first month for the club and my card and little gift is already to be mailed for my April person. So I made a card for my person and added in a Canadian chocolate bar. This also means that I will be getting a bunch of cards in the mail from strangers and I cannot wait. I love mail just as much as I love gifts.

Stefan and I each made up a Pinboard with things that we would like so that the other can buy them random presents just to say “I Love you”. But it is also a great way to let other people know what you want for your birthday. You can check out my Pinboard here in case you feel so inclined (yes I have expensive things on there and yes I have peanut butter on there).

My Dad always taught me that if you don’t ask the answer is always no. So if you want to give me a birthday present you can just add to my “Deborah wants to buy herself something pretty” fund by sending money to my paypal (deborahruth42@gmail.com). Or you can send me a nice little card.
