Nursing Cover Review and Giveaway

Side note before I start this, the picture taking process for the review took place during my one week stint with pink hair…enjoy.

I breastfeed pretty much anywhere, if Capri needs to be fed I am more than willing to whip the girls out and feed her…but I would really prefer not to flash everyone around me.

When Capri was first born I had this crappy little tiny thing that was supposed to be considered a nursing cover. I am not really sure what it was supposed to cover but it did not cover very much. So I went and bought another one, it was a huge cape that went all the way around me. It was black and really hot to wear (temperature sense, not fashion). I felt like the Phantom of the Opera in it.

So in comes my brand new nursing cover made for me by Amy, who has an Etsy shop called Piper’s Palace. She makes and sells a variety of baby items, bibs, blankets (I want the giraffe one), cloth wipes, and burp cloths.

We decided to do a review and giveaway and she sent me this wonderful nursing cover. I absolutely LOVE the fabric and the size of it. It has boning in the top so I can look down and see her. There is enough fabric that even when she is pulling and tugging on it I stay covered (you can ask my friend Amanda who was right next to me and didn’t see a thing). I had been using a spit up blanket for the longest time and she was so good at pulling it off and allowing me to flash people, but with this she can’t. It folds up nicely to throw in my diaper bag and I am all set to go.

I asked Amy to tell me a little bit about herself and this is what she had to say:

My name is Amy, I am a mommy of 4 kiddos. 2 precious babies in Jesus’ arms & 2 here in earth (Tristan is 5 and Piper is 3 months). I stay at home and am a health coach with Take Shape for Life and when my son is at school and my daughter is sleeping I sew & sew & sew!

I started sewing b/c I wanted to make fun things for my kiddos. I started my shop to offset the cost of this new found addiction!!

Amy has graciously offered one of her nursing covers to one of my readers. So here is how this is going to work, if you would like to enter to win a nursing cover (you and her will talk it over on which one after you win) you can enter to win below. You can win it for yourself or if you are not nursing you can win it for a friend. Giveaway Ends December 18th at 11am Atlantic Time the winner will be chosen by Random.org

I haven’t started breastfeeding yet, obviously, but I my projected favorite things are that it is extra good for baby, AND FREE!

One of my favourite memories of breastfeeding was the snuggling, “down time” with my babies. It was always so relaxing and a nice break from working around the home 🙂 Sigh…..I miss those days.
